Following his career-best win against Luke Campbell for the WBC interim title on the weekend, Ryan Garcia has reiterated his desire to take on Gervonta Davis in an all-American mega-fight next.
Garcia, who impressively climbed off the canvas to knock out 2012 Olympic gold medallist Campbell, boldly claimed that a showdown with ‘Tank’ Davis could be over within two rounds if the pair meet.
“If you don’t take this next fight from me, you will not be remembered,” Garcia told TMZ Sports. “Your legacy will forever be tainted if you do not accept this fight. It’s the most important fight to boxing right now.
“I don’t have time for celebrations. I’m on one mission. I’m on a mission to knock out Gervonta Davis in two rounds! This man will go down. Two rounds, that’s a promise.
“This is the fight. Joshua needs to fight Fury and I need to fight Gervonta. That’s it! We need to get this on. I’m going for it! This is it!”
