Fighters from several weight divisions are calling out Gervonta Davis, and he has now revealed his own four man hit list.
Davis is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the sport right now, he would argue even the current ‘face of boxing’. His latest victory over Ryan Garcia, where he stopped ‘King Ry’ with a crippling body shot, catapulted ‘Tank’ to new levels of superstardom.
The pay-per-views numbers were as impressive as Davis’ performance, with reports of over 1 million buys to go alongside the fifth highest Las Vegas gate of all time.
With the undisputed fight in the division between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko apparently only selling 150,000 PPV’s, it’s undeniable that ‘Tank’ is the money fight at lightweight.
Davis seemingly now has the power to pick and choose his opponents, but it doesn’t sound like he’s chasing any easy nights.
In a clip shared on Combatpwr’s YouTube channel, the 28-year-old revealed the names he going ‘to get’ before his career is up.
“I got some people I want to get. Devin Haney. Vasiliy Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez, I don’t want to say the last one’s name – Shakur Stevenson.”
Haney is the man with all the belts at 135lbs, although he’s coming off a controversial win over Lomachenko, where the majority of fans seem to think the Ukrainian should have walked away with the titles.
Shakur Stevenson is already a two weight world champion and seen as one of the most talented fighters in all of boxing. He’s been tipped as a future ruler of the division and a fight against knockout artist Davis would be a fascinating clash of styles.
