Footage has emerged of a side by side comparison of Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia training for their blockbuster clash this weekend, and fans have weighed in with some of their thoughts.
After months of build up, Davis and Garcia will lock horns at the T – Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in one of the biggest fights in recent memory.
Observers put their insights forward in the comments of a training clips video that contrasted the two young stars in camp.
The majority of fans seemed firmly in the Davis camp, saying; “Ryan looks amateur compared to Tank, but that left hand is definitely a problem” and “Ryan got Zero footwork, although speed looks similar.”
But some thought Ryan looked the sharper of the two; “Just from the training alone it looks like Ryan hits harder and has better reflexes”
Garcia and Davis will lock horns at a catchweight of 136lbs this Saturday night, with a 10lb rehydration clause reportedly in place at the request of the Baltimore puncher.
These terms have come under heavy criticism from certain observers, given the fact both men have fought at the super lightweight limit of 140lbs in recent fights and Davis has even won a world title at that weight class.
Whether these terms are fair or not, the consensus is that boxing fans across the globe are just relieved the mouthwatering contest will take place, after looking almost dead in the water at one stage.
There is also the possibility the pair could do it all over again, with a one way contractual rematch clause in place if Garcia manages upset the bookmakers odds and take Davis’ ‘0’ this weekend.
