Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia appear to be in tremendous shape ahead of their all-American catchweight bout – one which many fans believe will be the biggest boxing event of the year.
Davis (28-0) and Garcia (23-0) will put their unbeaten records on the line whilst both in their prime for the winner to become ‘the face of boxing.’
Much has been said about the weight being an issue for Garcia, who once stated that he would never box at lightweight (135lbs) again, yet has agreed to the fight at just 1lb higher on Davis’ terms.
It’s not just the weight cut Garcia has to contend with, either. There is also a 10lb rehydration clause, meaning he can’t weigh more than 146lbs on the day of the contest.
Despite worries from fans and pundits that it might hinder him, ‘King Ryan’ recently stated the weight was no issue and that he ‘fooled’ Davis into thinking he was gaining an advantage.
Although the majority of analysts are picking ‘Tank’, few are ruling out Garcia and believe a victory either way will be hard earned.
With less than two weeks to go until fight night, fans have been comparing footage of the two in training and trying to decide who might come out the victor in Las Vegas.
A video shared by FightHype.com compares the two in training.
Fans commented that Garcia had the edge in speed and looked notably bigger than his opponent, whereas Tank looked the more natural fighter.
Even heavyweight legend, Mike Tyson, has struggled to make up his mind ahead of the mega-fight, all we know is all questions will be answered on Saturday April 22.
