Giorgio Visioli Wants to Fight Floyd Mayweather’s Protege Curmel Moton Next

British southpaw standout Giorgio Visioli, 22, is lining up his next fight despite a March 21 fight against Levi Giles coming up at the Copper Box Arena in London, during a Matchroom boxing event on DAZN that George Liddard headlines against Tyler Denny.

A decorated amateur fighter, Visioli is storming the pro ranks, too, fighting five times in 2025 alone, culminating with an English lightweight title win over Joe Howarth in December — a title he puts on the line for the Giles fight tonight.

But Visioli isn’t just making waves in his home country, but in the United States, too, particularly for when he sparred Las Vegas hotshot fighter Curmel Moton, and seemingly became the talk of the town.

“I’m known for just sparring Moton out there,” Moton told Ring Magazine this week. “Everyone knows who I am out there. It was mad. The first day I got there, I went to a public gym, just a fitness place, no boxing and some kid came up to me and said, ‘Oh, you’re the kid that sparred Curmel’.”

Visioli and Moton recently went viral over a confrontation at the Top Rank gym off-Strip.

“I think he’s found out on the grapevine that I’m in town so he’s stuck it on me with his crew, called me a few names and whatever. And that was good for me – it went viral, so I couldn’t have asked for anything better really.”

Visioli’s plan is now simple. Dominate Giles next, and then take on Moton.

“I think the Moton fight needs to happen early,” he said. “It’s not something we need to wait around for.

“Obviously, at 19 he’s quite young so he’s going to be growing. So if it does happen, I think maybe in the next year or so and we are hoping for talks after this fight. I’m down, it’s just whether he wants to do it.

“But let’s see how it progresses. I’ve fully focussed on my next fight and then we can see where we are at.”

It’s unlikely Moton will have changed his tune from when he welcomed the fight, last year.

Moton described the spar as “definitely good work,” and invited an offer.

“[Eddie] Hearn is trying to get his guy’s name out there more,” Moton said, “sharing the ring with me, one of the biggest prospects right now, so he saw an opportunity and capitalized on it. They’re claiming they whooped on me, but they can say what they want to say, we both know how the sparring went.

“[Hearn] should be confident to set a fight with us. I’m ready whenever they want to do it.”

“I’m ready for it right now,” he finished.
