Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin has confirmed he will put his IBF middleweight title on the line against WBA champion Ryota Murata on December 29 in Saitama, Japan.
The bout will be promoted by Teiken Promotions in association with GGG Promotions, and will be streamed live from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, to over 200 countries and territories, including the US, exclusively on DAZN (excluding Japan and Kazakhstan).
Golovkin was last in action against Kamil Szeremeta in December 2020, defending his IBF middleweight title in seven rounds after scoring multiple knockdowns.
Murata has not fought since December 2019 when he halted Steven Butler inside five rounds in Yokohama.
