Gennadiy Golovkin has already shared 24 rounds with Canelo Alvarez but picking up some more insightful information wouldn’t go amiss.
The Unified Middleweight champion moves up to 168lbs on September 17 to challenge the Mexican for his Undisputed Super Middleweight title.
The Las Vegas duel, to be staged at the T-Mobile Arena, will be the third time the pair have met in five years. Their first fight ended in a split draw with the second going the way of Canelo on points.
Golovkin was in London last week training at Churchills Boxing Gym, but he wasn’t the only high-profile name in attendance. WBA Light Heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol also arrived to get in some work as well.
Bivol became only the second man to beat Canelo back in May with a well-deserved unanimous decision win. The victory dashed any hopes of the challenger becoming a two-time World Light Heavyweight champion.
Twitter account @BatmanBoxing posted separate pictures of the fighters at the same gym. A seven-hour window separated the images but putting two and two together gives you speculation.

Was it a mere coincidence that they were both there? Did Bivol pass on information to Golovkin about what it’s like to fight the 2022 version of Canelo?
It’s merely guesswork but it would have been remiss of Golovkin to not get some time with Bivol and discuss their mutual opponent.
