The former jr welterweight world champion, Ricky Hatton (45-3) has shared his belief that the Lineal RING Magazine world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury (25-0) will triumph in a highly anticipated clash against Anthony Joshua (20-0).
In an exclusive with MEN Sport, Hatton shared that he feels Fury will not only beat Joshua but also put him down on the canvas for a full count.
“I wouldn’t say this for it to backfire on me, but I think he’d stand Joshua on his head,” Hatton told MEN Sport.
Always good to have the big man, @Tyson_Fury who's looking sharp, in the gym today with @davidthewhiter1@WBCBoxing@WBABoxing@IBFUSBAboxing@HattonBoxing@MatchroomBoxing@BTSportBoxingpic.twitter.com/vZXcu4CwbH

Hatton expanded, by explaining that while there is every chance Joshua can land a knockout blow on Fury. Hatton suggested that Tyson’s speed, size and movement will be pivotal factors.
“If Joshua nails him like he nails anyone then there is every chance he will knock him out. But with Tyson’s speed and movement and added weight, I think it will work in his favour if he fights Joshua.”
“I’ve met Joshua and he is a lovely guy and is doing our country proud. He’s a great role model and athlete but if Fury can get this blubber off then he’ll do it!”

Fury has been working very hard recently, in an attempt to strip off the excess weight following a two-year hiatus from the squared circle. The man who was dubbed ‘Too Fast’ shared that he has now stripped off four stone and is on course to meeting his fighting weight around 245 lbs sometime next year.
Fury was training at Ricky Hatton’s gym recently and footage of the training was released onto social media. Of those training sessions, Hatton shared “He was training in my gym for the last two weeks and I’ve seen him on the pads and stuff like that and his speed, timing and movement is great.”
