After being written off in some quarters Kell Brook is now a man in demand.
His thumping victory over Amir Khan last weekend not only gave him the most satisfying win of his career but also resurrected his future. Chris Eubank Jr, who was working for Sky Sports on fight night, immediately called out Brook for a domestic showdown.
Brook’s former promoter Eddie Hearn has another idea in mind.
“I said to him [Brook] you’ve got the Conor Benn fight and you’ve got the Chris Eubank Jr fight. Now, why, when you have two fights that are basically identical in size, would you choose to go up to middleweight to fight Chris Eubank Jr,” Hearn told Matchroom media.
“I think it’s a brilliant fight. Youth v experience. Just one of those classic crossroads fights, a lot of money for both, which is going to appeal to them. Conor Benn’s fight will be announced at the weekend. He’ll fight in April and then after that we should try and make that fight.”
