Eddie Hearn Names Frank Warren Boxer He Wants To Promote And It’s Not Tyson Fury

There has been a thawing of the ice in the relationship between Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren of late and now Hearn has named the one fighter from the opposite stable he would like to promote and surprisingly it isn’t Tyson Fury.

For many years Hearn and Warren have traded verbal barbs, wound each other up and thrown mud at one another’s fights, events and operations.

In the last few months however and with the Saudi Entertainment chief Turki Alalshikh acting as an intermediary, they have come to talk and even work with one another.

The result is the much anticipated 5 v 5 showdown with fighters from each promotional outfit pitted against one another on June 1 on the undercard of the undisputed light heavyweight fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dimitri Bivol.

Now, speaking to DAZN, Hearn has named a fighter he would like to promote under his Matchroom banner and he went with a fast-rising featherweight.

“I like Nick Ball. Very entertaining scouse fighter. I think he’s going to get his shot soon at a big fight.

Hearn then adds a second thought.

“Or Tyson Fury, by the way.”

Queensbury boss Warren was then asked for his answer and went with the revered light heavyweight champion.

“Bivol’s there isn’t he.”

We should soon find out who it is from each camp that welfare off on that exciting night in June, although one of the possible names has already been ruled out due to needing surgery.
