Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing have signed a new five-year deal with streaming powerhouse DAZN, bringing an end to their exclusive broadcast partnership with Sky Sports in the United Kingdom, The Athletic have reported.
Hearn has held an exclusive UK rights deal wit Sky Sports since 2012, with their existing deal set to expire following two more shows. DAZN will become Matchroom’s UK broadcaster from July 1.
Though Hearn has a sizeable roster available to feature on DAZN’s UK events, the new deal does not include heavyweight duo Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.
