# Hearn tests positive for Covid-19, Buatsi-Calic unaffected

Promoter Eddie Hearn has tested positive for the Coronavirus just a few days before Matchroom Boxing’s latest show at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

Hearn was due to overlook Sunday’s promotion featuring light-heavyweight star Joshua Buatsi against unbeaten Croatian Marko Calic, but immediately removed himself from the show’s ‘Bubble’ and the event still goes ahead as planned.

“Gutted to just find out I tested positive for Covid-19 today and have to leave the bubble immediately. Thankfully all other tests were negative. Heading home to rest – catch up tomorrow,” tweeted Hearn on Thursday night.

The Matchroom team and event’s fighters are occupying a floor at the Stadium MK hotel in their protective bubble ahead of the card at the Marshall Arena, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK.
