WBO super-featherweight champion Jamel Herring has signed an advisory agreement with MTK Global.
London 2012 Olympian Herring (22-2, 10 KOs) clinched the WBO 130lbs crown in impressive fashion against Masayuki Ito in May 2019 and previously served as a US Marine Sergeant including two tours in Iraq.
The 34-year-old, who retained his title via disqualification in bizarre circumstances against Jonathan Oquendo last weekend, will now turn his attention to finally securing a showdown with promotional stablemate Carl Frampton in 2021.
“I’m very excited about this next step in my career,” said Herring. “I know that by adding MTK Global as an advisor, along with Brian McIntyre as my manager, I have the strongest team in the game.
“The best is yet to come from Jamel Herring and, with MTK on my team, I know I’m going to get the right opportunities.”
