# Hooks and Jabs: Briedis halts Mann in three

IBF cruiserweight king Mairis Briedis made light work of German challenger Artur Mann, breezing to a third-round stoppage victory at the Arena Riga in Latvia on Saturday evening.

Briedis (28-1, 20 KOs) dropped the outgunned Mann (17-2, 9 KOs) once in the second and twice in the third in an easy title defence.

The Latvian hero has been linked with a unification bout with WBO king Lawrence Okolie or a move to heavyweight in pursuit of sole conqueror Oleksandr Usyk.

‘The Hebrew Hammer’ Cletus Seldin (26-1, 22 KOs) lit up the Triller card that was previously reserved for the troubled Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos bout with a highlight reel, seventh-round KO of William Silva.

The popular 140-pounder delighted his hometown fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn by demolishing Brazilian Silva (28-4, 16 KOs) with a huge overhand right.
