# Filip Hrgovic Predicts Anthony Joshua-Dillian Whyte: “He’s Not A Great Boxer”

Filip Hrgovic has been assessing the heavyweight landscape in the run-up to his next outing against Demsey McKean on August 12, and he believes the main event of Anthony Joshua versus Dillian Whyte is a “hard fight” for both men.

[Croatian contender and IBF mandatory world title challenger ‘El Animal’](https://www.ringtv.com/655956-filip-hrgovic-demsey-mckean-added-to-anthony-joshua-dillian-whyte-ii-card/) will be hoping to put in a better performance than last time out when he laboured to a controversial points win over Zhilei Zhang.

He faces a stiff challenge in unbeaten prospect McKean – [who was at one point strongly rumoured to be next up for Tyson Fury](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/tyson-fury-frontrunner-facing-rival/) –  but should he win on the Joshua-Whyte undercard he will be well placed to challenge for world honours next.

[Speaking to Wasserman Boxing,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn-0286Xbvo&t=1314s) he was asked if he will be watching the main event.

> “Of course, I will be watching after my fight. I think it’s a hard fight for both of them. Whyte is always a tough guy. He’s not such a great boxer but he’s tough. Going forward he’s a good puncher. He’s brave. It’s a tough style for Joshua.”

Hrgovic then explained why he thinks it could be an entertaining match-up before picking Joshua to come out on top.

> “We saw in Joshua’s last fight he didn’t put in a great performance against Franklin. I think it’s a good fight and an interesting fight.
>
> They have a history so it’s interesting for the fans. I give Joshua the edge to win. I think he’s the better fighter but it’s a tough one for him.”

This card from the O2 Arena will be streamed live on DAZN around the world and on DAZN PPV in UK and Ireland.
