The undercard for Matchroom Boxing’s first event of the year has some additions.
February 12 at the Alexandra Palace, London stages the super-middleweight attraction between Britain’s John Ryder and America’s Daniel Jacobs. And as the two men look to keep their world title aspirations alive the majority of the announced supporting cast are just getting started.
Felix Cash is the most experienced of the five fighters scheduled to appear. The unbeaten (14-0, 10 KOs) middleweight will fight for the first time in 10 months. April 2021 saw Cash have little problems handling Denzel Bentley and in turn took his British middleweight title in just three rounds. Eddie Hearn has spoken of Cash challenging for the European crown, at some point, currently held by Italy’s Matteo Signani but next month the 28-year-old Brit will fight in a 10-round contest for an International title.
Elsewhere, popular heavyweight Johnny Fisher (4-0, 4 KOs), former Team GB member Cyrus Pattinson (welterweight, 2-0, 2 KOs) and highly touted super-bantamweight Ellie Scotney (3-0) are all set for their first fights of 2022. Opponents will be announced in due course. The undercard also sees a spot for MTK super-welterweight Jordan Reynolds (3-0, 1 KO) who will take on 34-year-old CJ Wood (3-1-2, 1 KO).
