News broke last week from veteran journalists that Jake Paul would be facing Tommy Fury in the boxing ring on February 25.
The bout, to be hosted by Saudi Arabia, was the third time the pair had tried to negotiate a fight – with the first two falling through due to issues on Fury’s side.
Despite the reports, fans haven’t seen an official announcement or heard confirmation from either of the fighters. Well, Jake Paul has now spoken out, and it doesn’t seem like good news.
“Hold your horses. The man’s having a baby.”

It’s in reference to Fury’s partner, Molly-May Hague, and their expected child. In recent interviews, the fighter has said Hague is due ‘anytime now.’
Whilst Paul doesn’t say that the fight has been cancelled or the date reported is wrong, he does appear to be calming any excitement surrounding it.
That, paired with the fact that it was supposedly scheduled for just one month away and there has yet to be a press conference, points to at least a delay.
The fight is recognised as a good matchup for both men considering their rise in the sport and fame outside of it. Fury, who is half-brother to the heavyweight champion of the world, would represent the first man in the opposite corner of Paul who wasn’t formerly an MMA fighter, basketballer, or YouTuber.
