Following his victory in a controversial clash against a 58-year-old Mike Tyson on Friday, Jake Paul has labelled himself as the ‘face of boxing’, and he may well be right given how many fighters have called him out in the few days that have passed. Now, Paul has been given his most astonishing offer, presented with the chance to fight for the coveted heavyweight world title.
Paul and Tyson fought for the full eight rounds in front of a packed-out 80,000 capacity AT&T Stadium and a reported 60 million viewers on Netflix – although there was a sense that ‘Iron Mike’ was being allowed to go the distance by his younger dance-partner.
‘The Problem’ Child was in control of the contest from the opening bell onwards and allowed a static, flat-footed Tyson to land just 18 punches, whilst seemingly refusing to capitalize on the immobility of the former undisputed champion.
As a result, Paul supposedly banked an eye-watering $2.2 million for every punch that he was tagged with, and fighters around the globe now want a piece of the Jake Paul pie.
In just the four days since the event, former and present world champions including but not limited to; Carl Froch, Artur Beterbiev and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. have welcomed a showdown with the polarising social media sensation.
However, his most recent call-out is the most shocking of all, as reigning IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois offered Paul a shot at the heavyweight throne, in a message shared by the American on social media.
Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha
But fuck it…I’m going to have Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans pic.twitter.com/J2CWIkYRZQ

DD: “Hi Jake
“Good business on the weekend but. How would yoi feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world? This is Daniel Dubois calling you out, let’s get it on.
JP: “[sends image of a ticket]. Get in line.”
In the caption of the post, Paul could not hide his interest and seemed to accept the idea, whilst simultaneously taking a dig at Artur Beterbiev.
“Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha
“But f*** it,,, I’m going to have Nakisa [Bidarian] talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur [Beterbiev], at least you have a few thousand fans.”
As Paul mentioned, Dubois fought on the undercard of the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer when he first faced former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley back in August 2021 – Paul winning a split-decision whilst Dubois stopped Joe Cusumano inside one-round.
‘Triple D’ is expected to attempt a second defence of his IBF world title in Riyadh on February 22nd and it appeared as though an opponent was lined up, although a meeting with Paul may prove to be a more lucrative proposal than a voluntary defence against his more established heavyweight rivals.
