Jake Paul has fired back at Ryan Garcia after ‘King Ry’ called Paul out following his victory over Ryan Bourland on Saturday.
It was a dominant win for the Youtuber-turned-boxer in Puerto Rico over the weekend, stopping Bourland inside the opening round to earn a first round knockout.
Garcia then took to social media to share his thoughts on the fight, stating that ‘he feels bad for introducing Jake Paul to boxing.”
The 25-year-old goaded Paul to contact his team, insinuating that he would be open to fighting the YouTuber who, for his Saturday night showdown against Ryan Bourland on DAZN, weighed just shy of 200 lbs.
Paul has since hit back at the comments made by Garcia, as captured by Boxing Social during his post-fight press conference.
“[Garcia’s] off doing some cocaine. That boy is getting that s*** straight from Colombia or something. That s***’s strong.
“Ryan, I love you. You know that bro, but you’ve gotta chill out. You seem like you’re losing your mind, and acting thirsty and desperate.
“You’re saying you’re a millionaire when you’ve had one money fight, like, I’m just saying just chill bro. If you do wanna fight, to me that’s light work. You’ve got no footwork and, as long as you’ve been in the game, I’m a better boxer than you.”
Garcia faces his old amateur foe Devin Haney at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 20, in an attempt to claim the WBC belt up at super lightweight, but the American does not rule out a future clash with Paul, in spite of the obvious size discrepancy.
