The upcoming shock fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson continues to get people talking across the world, and now a big update has been provided following rumours that the rules for the fight had been decided.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul squares off against the legendary Tyson in a surprise showdown at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on July 20th, in a landmark first boxing event to take place live on Netflix.
Both men have already begun their camps and have posted numerous training videos, but there still remains the question over what sort of contest it will be.
Over the past week on social media, there have been a number of rumours regarding the rules being finalised for the fight, after weeks of speculation regarding whether it would be an official bout or an exhibition.
Paul’s promoter Nakisa Bidarian of Most Valuable Promotions has hit back at those rumours though, insisting in a social media clip that nothing has yet been decided in regards to how the fight will be structured.
“Breaking news, there is no news. Stop spreading fake news, there is no truth to all this stuff around Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Here’s what is true, 1: Mike Tyson is in unbelievable shape and is trying like he hasn’t in many, many years, and is looking scary for Jake Paul.
“2: There are no tickets for sale, if you have bought tickets, those are tickets that don’t exist. 3: Over 85,000 people have signed up to get access to tickets when they go on sale, this is going to be a historic event.”
With a press tour set to take place in the near future, the rules for the fight are expected to be finalised soon.
