The announcement of Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson was certainly not a bout on the bingo cards of boxing fans when 2024 got underway, and now Paul has issued a familiar threat to the heavyweight boxing legend, as fans await further information on the event.
Paul has secured back-to-back first-round knockout wins in the last three months, stopping each of Andre August and Ryan Bourland as he decided to move on from facing MMA fighters and faced off with professional boxers, albeit ones unbeknownst to the masses.
Although, Paul’s latest opponent is one who is instantly recognisable around the globe, as he gears up for an eyebrow-raising showdown with heavyweight icon ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, who hung up the gloves in 2005 and is 30 years older than ‘The Problem Child’.
However, the rules of their fight are yet to be confirmed, despite reports that both men hope for the meeting to be a professional one to add jeopardy and therefore interest to the event, yet whether such a proposal could be officially sanctioned remains to be seen.
Still, each of them have begun training for fight night, with Mike Tyson seen to be rolling back the years and looking sharp on the pads whilst Jake Paul has released new footage of his own onto Instagram.
He threatened to replicate the infamous Tyson ear bite which caused ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ to be disqualified against Evander Holyfield in 1997.

“Mikey, Mikey! Your hands can’t hit what your eyes can’t see!
I’m gonna bite your ear off Mikey 👂🫦”
Paul-Tyson will take place on July 20th, in a one-of-a-kind event that can be watched live on Netflix.
