Jermall Charlo is perceived to be somewhat of a dark horse in the middleweight division.
The risk in facing Jermall clearly outweighs the reward as he is one of the many bright, young champions searching for recognition.
Charlo will do battle with Hugo Centeno on the undercard of the Deontay Wilder – Luis Ortiz Brooklyn bill on March 3rd.
The interim WBC middleweight title will be on the line.

Charlo has fired out a warning ahead of that fight, not only to Centeno but to every fighter in the 160 lbs domain.
The man who has been dubbed ‘The Hitman’ has claimed that he will mow down every single contender that stands between him and securing a middleweight mega-fight against either Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez or Gennady Golovkin.
Jermall’s twin brother, Jermell is also a champion at the weight of 154 lbs. He currently holds the WBC strap in that division.
“We can’t let Houston down now. My brother and I have made it this far. We can’t stop now.”
“It’s my turn to put on a spectacular performance on March 3.”
“I’m trying to one-up my brother’s previous performance each time I step in there,” Charlo added.
“My goal is to show everybody that I’m the best middleweight in the world.”
“I just want to be a champion at 160 more then I did the first time at 154. More than anything, I just want to get back in the ring.” @FutureOfBoxingpic.twitter.com/53C5tZmDuL

“I’m going to keep fighting everyone they put in front of me. I’m going to knock them out one-by-one until Canelo or Golovkin have to face me.”
On the topic of his upcoming showdown with Hugo Centeno, Charlo shared that his punching power will be a crucial factor in the fight’s early goings.
Charlo says if Centeno is durable, it will make for an action-packed war. Charlo did share though, that if Centeno is visibly shaken from the power, Charlo is predicting another sensational early knockout.
“If he can stand up to my power, we’re going to fight and it’ll be a brutal war.”
If he can’t, I’ll take him out in the first round,” Charlo said.
“I’ve had the chance to work on some improvements to my game since my last fight. I think having even more patience in the ring is going to help step my game up even higher.”
“I want to be a champion at middleweight more than I did at 154-pounds.”
“Hugo Centeno Jr. is another fighter who is in my way. I know he’ll come in prepared, but I’m confident I’m going to walk out of there with the victory. This is going to be a big year for me and my brother. We’re going to keep showing everyone why we’re so feared.”
