# John Fury Responds Directly To Hearn Detailing How He “Cost AJ Over £100m”

Yesterday, we reported that John Fury, father of WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson, had some choice words for Eddie Hearn – saying the promoter’s decision making had cost Anthony Joshua over £100 million.

[Boxing Social’s Charlie Parsons](https://youtu.be/jr-GEUQZrb8?t=489) put the comments to Hearn, who was baffled – but said he would take even half of the figure for the Fury and ‘AJ’ fight to be signed there and then. Now, John Fury has come up with a breakdown of the money to back up his statement. [He took to Instagram with the numbers as he sees it.](https://twitter.com/MichaelBensonn/status/1577049491525754880?s=20&t=39ii1OqKIYGr19Z3AqvX8A)

> “This is a video to Eddie Hearn. Mr Brains of Britain. Let me explain it to you, my friend, how you cost your man over 100 million. 15 million step-aside money. Free money. Then Tyson would’ve gone and done what AJ couldn’t do. He’s gone and beat Usyk and brought all the belts back to the UK.
>
> In the meantime, AJ could’ve had a couple of easy victories – another 30 mil – and then he could’ve challenged Tyson for the belt. Well, who knows what numbers what would’ve done.
>
> So, yeah, you don’t need to be the brains of Britain to see how you cost him money and put him into a position where he was on a hiding to nothing, Mr Brains of Britain.”

Now that both sides are engaged in relatively negative back and forths, we can assume that [the December 3 heavyweight scrap that would’ve seen Joshua challenge for Fury’s belt](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/eddie-hearn-on-fury-vs-joshua/) is off the table.

If that’s the case, we move from a negotiation stage into a blame game – with each side likely being keen to point out the other’s failings in the once-promising talks. None of that will be helpful to the boxing fans, though, who would simply like to see the two fighters in the ring.
