John Fury has issued a message to Jake Paul ahead of clash with son Tommy, and has warned the YouTuber he will be getting stopped early when the pair clash on February 26.
With fight night less than three weeks away, the feud between the two young stars – that has lasted over a year – will soon finally be put to bed.
Fury and Paul have actually already been scheduled to do battle twice, however the Brit was forced to withdraw on both occasions.
A rib injury scuppered the original date, then ‘TNT was refused passage into America when the bout had been rearranged.
Speaking on his official Instagram account, ‘Big John’ waxed lyrical about how good Fury has looked in training and claimed that Tommy’s ‘real power’ means Paul will be in for massive shock in Diriyah.
“Quick update to let you know how Tommy Fury’s going in training. Exceptional – he’s on fire. He’s punching with real power and ferocity.”
“Jake Paul, I’m afraid, doesn’t know what he’s in store for. But I do. Jake Paul is getting knocked spark out early on.”
“There’s no way he can match what I’m seeing.”
The pair have gone back and forth relentlessly on social media, with Paul even taking the trash talk to a new level when he commented on a post that announced the birth of Fury’s first child.
Bookmaker’s can barely separate the two, and the boxing world seems to be split 50/50 with regards to who emerges victorious.
Many feel the pressure lays firmly on Fury going into the contest, with dad John and brother Tyson reportedly telling him to “stay in Saudi Arabia” if he feels to defeat the braggadocios American.
