New Zealand’s WBO world heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker is just under a week away from the biggest fight of his career.
Parker will put his title on the line in the biggest fight of his career against the unified WBA, IBF and IBO world heavyweight champion when he takes to the ring at Principality Stadium in front of a capacity crowd of 80,000 people.
The undefeated 26-year old Parker claims he is in the best shape of his career following separate surgeries on either elbow.

Parker cited the injuries hindered him in the past and did not allow him to utilise his full potential.
“We had restrictions with the elbow in the past,” Parker said.
But Parker warned on March 31st there will be no excuses as he is raring to go. Additionally, Parker wants his just dues if he triumphs against Joshua and wants the title of ‘best in the world.’
“It didn’t allow us to train at 100%. But this time there are no excuses. If I win this fight, I’m the best in the world.”
Parker was, however, quick to add that if he ends up losing and surrendering his undefeated record on Saturday night he will accept Joshua’s claim to being the best fighter in world boxing.
Parker reiterated once again that he is firing on all cylinders and everything is in place for him to put his game plan into action on Saturday night.
One loss on your record stays for eternity.

“If I lose this fight, then he is the best.”
“The speed is back, the power is back and it is just about executing it on fight night.”
Parker also claimed that he has left no stone unturned with his preparation for this fight.
The New Zealander claims he has prepared for 12 hard rounds despite the fact that none of Joshua’s opponents heard the final bell.
“I have prepared for 12 rounds hard with my coach,” Parker said.
Parker insists if the opportunity to knock Joshua out does arise, there will not be any repeat of Joshua’s slow recuperation during the middle rounds of his battle against Wladimir Klitschko.

Parker claims that when he catches ‘AJ’ clean it will be the end of the line for him.
“But I know if I catch him clean, he’s out. I am not going to give him a chance to recover.”
“I am going to chase him hard and get him out of there. He looks angry and nervous. I am here to win and that is what I am going to do.”
