Chris Eubank Jr suffered a shock knockout defeat to Liam smith on Saturday night – and it created plenty of reaction online.
The fourth round KO was the first time Eubank’s famous granite chin failed him and saw him suffer the first stoppage defeat of his career.
Although Junior originally complained about the stoppage, it was clear to see his legs were gone and the referee saved him for another day.
One fighter who couldn’t resist making a dig was Conor Benn, the man Eubank was meant to fight in October, before he failed two VADA tests.
Benn is currently in the process of trying to clear his name by sending a 270 page document to the WBC, and Eubank has taken every opportunity to put the boot in about the saga, so Conor’s reaction was somewhat expected.
Taking to social media, Benn said:
“Oh man, @chriseubankjr it’s a good job you didn’t fight me. You’d last two rounds at 160.”

However, this didn’t sit well with one fellow boxer, Josh Kelly, who replied to Benn’s post, saying:
This guy keeps chatting with two failed tests you had no chance of fighting lad.
When your menstrual cycles over and you come back from hiding you know where I am brudda no vitamins helping you up at 154.

Eubank’s defeat might have put brakes on the ‘the biggest fight in boxing’ against Benn, but could we now see Kelly step in for another all British dust-up?
