George Kambosos Jr says Devin Haney “will never want to fight again” after their bout on June 5.
All four world lightweight titles will be on the line at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne when the Australian and American lock horns in front of 60,000 fans.
It will be the first fight for Kambosos since he dethroned then lightweight king Teofimo Lopez of his WBA, IBF and WBO titles in New York five months ago. And the ‘Ferocious’ champion is looking to inflict plenty of damage on WBC belt holder Haney when they face one another in just over six weeks.
“I’m coming to take his head and break every rib that he has. I will drown him. I will beat him up,” Kambosos told Foxsports.com.au
“I will not only strip him of that half piece that he parades with that he never earned, but I will strip him of his career. He will never want to fight again. If he does, he will never be the same again, like I did with Teofimo.”
