Amir Khan made a sensational return to the ring to the ring, yesterday night. In front of a rapturous crowd at Liverpool’s Echo Arena, Khan came out on the offence and dispatched of his loudmouth Canadian adversary inside of 40 seconds.
One interested spectator at ringside, was Khan’s longtime rival and former IBF world welterweight champion, Kell Brook who has been intent for many years to secure a lucrative matchup with Khan.
‘The Special One’ was keen to make his presence known at ringside following the fight.

“Amir, come on, Amir,” shouted Brook following the knockout.
“All the fans want the fight. I want the fight.”
Kell took aim at Khan’s celebrity lifestyle and warned him a knockout defeat is looming for him if and when they meet.
“He can go in the jungle and chase stars, but when he gets in there with me, I’ll make him see stars.”
Brook acknowledged that while his longtime bitter rival possesses blinding speed.
‘Special K’ believes he has a weapon in his arsenal which is timing and Brook believes it will prove Khan’s undoing when they fight.
“I know he’s got very fast hands. I’ve sparred with him. He’s got the fastest hands I’ve been in with.”

“Timing beats speed, I’m a seasoned pro, I will land that bomb on him, that brownie. I’ll destroy him.”
Eddie Hearn has both fighters currently signed to his promotional banner of Matchroom Boxing and that has caused the renewed momentum behind the Brook vs Khan talk.
The Matchroom mogul has once again reiterated his desire to make the fight.
“People ask me if Khan has still got speed but he might be even quicker than before. He will be in massive fights in the UK.”
“The British public want to see Khan against Brook and I want to make it happen. They want to bash each other up,” Hearn said.
This morning, Khan caught up with Sky Sports to reflect on his successful return to the ring.
Discussing his plans moving forward, Khan says he will look to sit down with Hearn in the coming days and hash out their next move.
“In the next week or so, me and Eddie will sit down and see where we go from here,” Khan told Sky Sports News.
Khan revealed that he does have aspirations of becoming a 2-weight world champion, but says the idea of a stadium fight with Brook could be a more endearing proposition.
Furthermore, the weight has been a constant issue in any potential match up between Khan and Brook, with Brook recently moving up to the limit of 154 lbs.

Khan is hopeful any clash between himself and Brook will be for the world title at 147 lbs
“It would be nice to win another world title.
“It would be an amazing thing to do but at the same time it would be amazing to fill out a stadium and get someone like Kell Brook.”
“I really believe that fight could happen for a title but let’s just wait to see what Eddie has to say about this.”
“I am happy to fight him. Fighting a big name like Kell in England would be a massive fight, selling out a stadium would be amazing;” Khan concluded.
