The Wasserman Boxing debut of Josh Kelly will come against Hungary’s Peter Kramer on Friday night at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.
Kelly was due to make his bow on Channel 5 last month at the Indigo at the O2 but a debacle ensued when his opponent Xhuljo Vrenozi refused to fight.
With the events of May 13 behind him the 28-year-old super welterweight can focus on the future as he looks for his first career win since December 2019.
Kelly said in a Wasserman press release:
“I can’t wait to give Liverpool, the United Kingdom, and the world the chance to see Josh Kelly at his best again,”
“I’m ready to do whatever, and that starts with a dominant display live on Channel 5 in Liverpool. I can’t wait to give my fans, and all fans of the sport, a masterclass come fight night.”
Kalle Sauerland, Head Of Global Boxing at Wasserman added:
“Josh’s talent is assured in that ring, and the fighting city of Liverpool gets to host it. With over a million viewers on Channel 5 last time, the country will get the opportunity to witness a refreshed and ready “Pretty Boy” Josh Kelly.”
The Friday night card, which features heavyweight Nathan Gorman against Tomas Salek, suffered a blow when it was revealed today that Marcel Braithwaite has been forced to pull out of the British Super Flyweight Title Eliminator against Thomas Essomba due to a shoulder injury suffered in training.
Fight fans can catch the non-televised portion of the card live on the Boxing Social YouTube channel. Read our article for full details about how to watch, ring walk times and undercard of Nathan Gorman vs Tomas Salek fight night.
