IBF featherweight champion Kiko Martinez is self-isolating at his home after he and some of his family members tested positive for Covid-19, according to Espabox.
Despite his positive test, Martinez’s world title rematch with Josh Warrington on March 26 in Leeds is not currently at risk of being postponed or moved.
Martinez was crowned IBF featherweight champion with a stunning 6th round TKO of Kid Galahad in Sheffield back in November.
Martinez and Warrington previously squared off in Leeds back in 2017, with Warrington prevailing via majority decision after twelve rounds.
Warrington was last in action back in September 2021, with his Headingley rematch with Mauricio Lara being ruled a technical draw after two rounds due to an accidental clash of heads.
Lara stunned Warrington in nine rounds in their first encounter behind closed doors at Wembley Arena in February.
