It is described as a ‘High Octane Boxing Channel’ and ‘The New Home of British Boxing’. Today Kynoch Promotions announced itself as the latest outfit to team up with FightZone.
While conclusive details will not be announced fully until April 30 FightZone is the brainchild of some British boxing promoters, not called Hearn or Warren, which will broadcast shows every Friday night.
Kynoch Promotions issued a release today via social media saying, “We are delighted to have entered into a broadcast deal with new boxing channel FightZone”.
“FightZone is every boxing fan’s dream. The exciting new channel, launching on April 30th, will showcase some of Britain’s best fighters, with weekly live shows planned from every part of the UK.
Kevin Maree and Dennis Hobson are just two of the names behind FightZone and plans are afoot to build a schedule of shows which fans can look forward to in the coming months.
Hobson’s first show of the year will be on May 21 at Sheffield Arena Car Park and will see unbeaten welterweight Anthony ‘The Truth’ Tomlinson face James Moorcroft in a title fight, the status of which will soon be confirmed. Myron Mills defends his English lightweight title against Lucas Ballingall on the undercard which also has the return of Michael Gomez Jr who fights Kane Salvin in an English super featherweight title eliminator.
Seven days later the Sheffield Arena Car Park will stage the 2021 debut of Kash Ali who tackles the Czech Republic’s Tomas Salek for the vacant IBF European heavyweight belt.
FightZone announced last week that the popular Glenn McCrory will join their broadcasting team with, again, more details on who will join him to come.
