Lawrence Okolie dominated Isaac Chamberlain tonight in the domestic grudge match between undefeated cruiserweight prospects.
‘The Sauce’ dominated the action and recorded knockdowns in the fights’ opening stanza and again in the sixth round.
At the end of the night the scorecards recorded scores of 98-89, 96-90 and 97-89 earning Okolie, the unanimous decision verdict.
Coming into the fight, one of the major talking points was going to be how Chamberlain would react to a flush blow from the Hackney Olympian.
It was made readily apparent that his power was going to be very troublesome after a right hand left Chamberlain on the seat of his pants.

Chamberlain then acknowledged Okolie’s power as he nodded upon going to the canvas.
Okolie’s physical presence with his distinctly longer arms and legs. That allowed him to control the dimensions of the battle.
Okolie was seeming to overwhelm an increasingly tentative Chamberlain who had a point taken in the second round for excessive holding.
The third and fourth rounds with both men forced to wrestle in close.
The referee had to warn both fighters again for holding.
Okolie continued to dominate the action in his role as the effective aggressor. That style saw him edge the fifth before he fell the Brixton slickster for the second time in the fight.

Okolie again finding his mark with a short right hand. That shot forced Chamberlain to touchdown on the canvas with a glove.
Chamberlain managed to see out the round after Okolie seemed to put his foot down on the gas pedal in search of a stoppage.
The Brixton fighter resembled the image of a beaten fighter as we came into the second half of the fight.
Chamberlain seemed to be running out of ideas and he was hesitant to do little more than try to ensure he didn’t take another big punch.

Okolie again pressed for the stoppage again in the ninth.
He repeatedly found his mark again and again with thudding right hands.
Chamberlain finally understood the dire situation he was in following the eleventh round.
Chamberlain came out guns blazing in the fight’s final round.
It was fruitless however, the last round saw Okolie once again exert his physical prowess advantages as he pushed his rival to the canvas.
Okolie closed out a dominant showing and the future looks very bright for the Hackney power puncher.
