# Lomachenko Thinks GGG Had “Issue With His Health” Before Canelo Fight

Vasiliy Lomachenko has given his opinion on the trilogy bout between Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin – and believes injury prevented the Kazakh from operating at full capacity at the T-Mobile Arena.

Lomachenko, who was in attendance on Saturday night, noticed Golovkin was using mainly his left hand for the majority of the contest – and Loma told [FightHype](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlrRZ0I9MN4)  this could be down to an injury suffered on the opposite arm.

> *“It was a very interesting, historical fight. But I think Golovkin had a problem with his health.”*
>
> *“The whole fight, he worked using only used his left hand.”*
>
> *“But nobody knows – this is boxing.”*

The third meeting between Canelo and Golovkin was seen as the least entertaining by many fans online, as [the Mexican won a comfortable unanimous decision](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/canelo-ggg-trilogy-result-report-highlights/) against a ‘Triple G’ whose best years looked well behind him.

Focus has now shifted towards Canelo and what his next move will be, with a rematch against Dmitry Bivol the fight on the lips of many – enthusiasm shared by Lomachenko.

> “The fight with Bivol is interesting, very interesting.”
>
> “I think Canelo needs this rematch.”

As for Lomachenko himself, all the signs point towards the great Ukrainian getting a shot at the undisputed lightweight championship in the first half of 2023 – provided [he comes through his comeback fight against Jamaine Ortiz](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/lomachenko-returns-next-fight-announced/) next month, and current champion [Devin Haney is victorious in his rematch against George Kambosos Jr](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/devin-haney-dumps-ring-magazine-belt/).
