Lucas Browne caught up with worldboxingnews.com. The Australian discussed ‘The Bodysnatcher’ in detail and he was very specific when highlighting the differences in their fighting game.
Browne’s statements strongly indicate that he holds a firm belief that he all-around has the beating of Whyte up his sleeve.
“I’ve got more heart, regardless of when you look at boxing skill.”
“I believe I have more power as well, but I believe I definitely have more heart.”
“There’s just something I like about boxing and the fact that you do get challenged in a one-on-one situation and can challenge yourself.
“You really find out about yourself and who you really are, that’s what I’ve got in spades.”

“I want a stoppage, a knockout or for him not to come out for around.”
“I don’t think a decision will be too favourable in my way, but I like knockouts anyways and I think the crowd want to see it.
“It’s what I like to do.”
“I want Deontay Wilder next, 100%.”
“I just want good, quality fights and to cement my legacy and make some money whilst doing it.
“Whether there’s a title or not, as long as it’s a competitive fight and there’s money in it, that’s all I’m after.”
Lucas Browne also touched on the relationship with his promoter, the beloved Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton and how he has been received in his homeland since coming over here.
“He’s a character,” he said chuckling.

“When I do come over, I feel the love and if myself and Ricky walk around. You can see how much he is loved in his country which is absolutely sensational.”
“At the same time, I’m over in Australia so it is difficult with the time factors. But we’re at the top level and we have won the WBA title and we’re back on the right sort of track.”
The rugged heavyweight mauler, who boasts an impressive 25-0 record, added: “It’s lovely to be back here in the freezing cold.”
“I love the UK,” Browne concluded.
