Fighter Who Previously Gave Tyson Fury 47 Stitches Reacts To Gypsy King’s New Cut

There is one man who has previously fought Tyson Fury and inflicted a bad cut on him and he has now spoken out about it and how that affects the upcoming undisputed fight.

‘The Gypsy King’ delayed the first undisputed fight in 25 years when he got cut late in camp on February 2nd. The news broke that a sparring partner had inflicted the damage and that he would need several stitches and a few weeks to recover.

A new date of May 18 was announced and now the countdown is on once more to the epic contest with Oleksandr Usyk after several weeks of heated verbal exchanges between the two camps.

Back in 2019, Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin faced Fury and also cut him early in the fight. It required 47 stitches but the Brit rallied and managed to run out points winner after 12 rounds.

Speaking to IFL TV, firstly Wallin addressed the rumours that Fury’s cut is not legitimate.

“Silly. Who would ever do that? It’s crazy, there are different ways to get out of your fight, you can say you hurt your elbow or knee and have a doctor sign it off. I don’t think he owed do that, there is too much money, and I think it’s what Fury wants.”

He then broke down the fight and said Fury needs to use all of his attributes to get the win.

“I think it’s gunna be an interesting fight, Usyk is a very good fighter, beat Joshua in really good fashion two times but he is a little bit small for Fury. Fury has got to bring his A-game. If he’s on his A-game he can win.

“He has to keen feigning like he use to do, feint him, jab him, then box him and take it to him when he can. He has to use everything he has – feints, footwork, speed – and he can’t just rely on the power too much.”

Fury maintains that he is currently the king of boxing and now has to prove that with a career-best showing against the pound-for-pound great that is Usyk.
