The biggest super fight is official as Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will enter the ring on August 26th.
But it’s only fitting that the undercard for an event like this should on par with the main event. One of the most intriguing ideas is another MMA fighter versus boxer bout. UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic against boxing’s most popular heavyweight champion at the moment – Anthony Joshua.
It’s no secret that Miocic is the one after this fight more than Joshua. The UFC champ has said publicly that he wants to do it and could possibly even cause some trouble in the ring. He has now issued a challenge on Twitter.
Hey @anthonyfjoshua let's have a proper tussle and still have time for tea and crumpets before the main event! #MayweatherMcGregor

So far there is no response from Joshua.
Miocic said in an interview on ‘The MMA Hour’ that he could surprise people.
“If the fight happens, me against Joshua would be a great fight. I think I’d surprise a lot of people, I think it’d be an amazing fight … let’s do it! He’s a great guy. He’s tough, he’s a champion for a reason. I think I’d give him a run for his money.”
Don’t get your hopes up though because Joshua will most likely fight Wladimir Klitschko next. But like always with boxing, you never know what’s going to happen until the bell rings.
