Another fight night at Falls Park, Belfast awaits Michael Conlan on August 6.
Since 2019 the spectacular venue has hosted a fight night three times for the 30-year-old.
A crowd of 12,000 is expected for Conlan’s return following his dramatic fight against Leigh Wood in March. Having dominated large portions of the fight the Northern Irishman succumbed to the WBA featherweight champion’s power who won with a 12th round knockout in a fight of the year contender.
Speaking to BelfastMedia.com the fighter’s brother Jamie said: “Michael is busting to get back to right the wrongs of that one and put it to bed, but in the meantime, we’re planning the best route to get back to a world title if we can’t get one immediately.
“He will be in a good fight against a credible opponent, someone who’s been there and done it is what we’re trying to do.”
The last Féile spectacular at Falls Park saw Conlan outpoint TJ Doheny nine months and in 2019 Diego Ruiz was stopped in the ninth round by the Olympic medalist.
Conlan will have to bide his time to receive another shot at Wood with the Nottingham featherweight hoping to land a fight against Leo Santa Cruz.
