Mike Tyson has heaped praised on Francis Ngannou’s boxing ability ahead of his spectacle fight with world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
Ngannou will make the switch from mixed martial arts to boxing on October 28 in Saudi Arabia, facing the undefeated two-time champ, Fury.
Although the boxing world gives the MMA man little chance, he has attempted to boost that by enlisting the help of former undisputed champion and feared knockout artist, Tyson.
With camp underway, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ has been dropping footage from the gym to hype up the fight.
In the latest clip, he can be heard telling Ngannou to ‘rip it with everything you’ve got’ as he drills a ferocious combination – good advice ahead of facing Fury, who has proven in the past to possess extremely impressive powers of recovery.
I am not easily impressed, but @Francis_Ngannou knows how to box. THIS is what dedication looks like. #FuryNgannou#RiyadhSeasonpic.twitter.com/kDK30akHK0

There may be no heavyweight legend better placed to guide the former UFC heavyweight champion, especially given the school of thought that if he’s to have any chance in the crossover bout he needs to go for broke without fear of what’s coming back.
Still, despite ‘Iron’ Mike’s praise, Ngannou has it all to do and more. Jumping into the boxing from MMA is one thing, but having your debut against one of the very best in the world is a different ball game.
He will enter the ring as a 6/1 underdog, with most feeling that there is little if any jeopardy for Fury over the scheduled ten rounds.
