Mike Tyson has touched down in Saudi Arabia to be a part of the Jake Paul versus Tommy Fury fight week.
Ahead of being on the official press conference panel to hype the bout, Tyson spoke to Boxing Social about the event.
‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ has seen first hand the fanfare that surrounds Paul, and he claims that the 26-year-old is the biggest name in boxing outside of the division Tyson himself made such an impact on.
“It shows the market power of Jake Paul. He’s the biggest thing in boxing right now besides the heavyweights. the heavyweights are the only thing bigger than him.
The heavyweights and probably Alvarez.None of the other guys are bigger than him, not the lightweights not even the light heavyweights.”
Paul puts his 6-0 undefeated record against that of Fury’s 8-0. Both are green in their skills and experience, but hugely confident that they will have too much for their opponent.
As for a prediction, ‘Iron’ Mike admitted that he hadn’t seen much of Fury in the ring, but, regardless, he’s still picking Paul. Whatever happens, he believes it will end inside the distance.
“I’ve never seen Fury fight, I don’t think he’ll be able to beat Jake Paul. Jake paul is getting better and better as he fights and I don’t know if they brought him over here to lose – we’re going to find out.
Somebody is getting knocked out, somebody is going down. Someone’s 0 has got to go.”
With a past heavyweight legend siding with Jake Paul, and a future one – namely, Tyson Fury – of course siding with his brother, it seems that even the best boxing brains don’t know what’s going to happen in Diriyah on Sunday night.
