Eddie Hearn says Natasha Jonas is full of confidence and fitter than ever ahead of her fight against Katie Taylor.
Ireland’s golden girl (17-0, 6 KOs) will put her undisputed lightweight titles on the line against the smiling Scouser in just over ten days in Manchester. The clash is the Sky Sports Box Office chief support bout to the heavyweight clash between Dereck Chisora and Joseph Parker.
Taylor v Jonas is a rematch from the London Olympics in 2012 when the two women gave it their all in front of a raucous crowsd.
“Natasha Jonas has got that belief again now,” Hearn told Sky Sports.
“After that performance with Terri Harper, you watch her in the gym with Joe Gallagher.
“They believe they can beat Katie Taylor. She’s punching very hard, she’s full of confidence, she’s fitter than ever.”
“This is a tough, tough fight for Katie Taylor,” Hearn added.
“Time and time again she has to come out with the pressure on her shoulders and perform.
“This is right up there with the toughest test of her career so far. Loads on the line in that one.”
