Johnny Nelson has made a clear prediction for what will happen when Anthony Joshua steps into the ring with Otto Wallin on December 23.
He has previously worked with Derrick James, who he is expected to revert to once this fight is over, as well as Robert Garcia and Rob McCracken before that.
The Brit’s upcoming fight is one of several big matchups on the Day of Reckoning card in Saudi Arabia with Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker and Daniel Dubois and Jarrell Miller also set to feature.
It will be Joshua’s third fight of 2023 after wins over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius as he rebuilds from back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
The former two-time champion is facing Swedish southpaw Wallin, who is best known for giving Tyson Fury a tough night and inflicting a savage cut when the pair met in 2019.
Speaking to Pro Boxing Fans, former cruiserweight king turned Sky pundit Nelson was asked which of the fights on the upcoming card he was most looking forward to, and gave an emphatic prediction.
“Of course, I’m looking forward to Anthony Joshua. I think he gets rid of his opponent.”
Should Joshua win and Wilder do the same, the pair have reportedly agreed a date of March 9 for their own fight. Wallin and Parker, of course, have other ideas.
