# “Keep Doubting Me!”: Undefeated Rival Wants Terence Crawford Fight Immediately

Speculation on Terence Crawford’s next opponent sprang up as soon as the dust had settled on his [masterclass against Errol Spence Jr last weekend.](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/errol-spence-jr-terence-crawford-report/)

Though Crawford’s next move will depend on whether Spence decides to activate a contractual rematch clause, one of the names at the front of the queue isn’t particularly keen on waiting.

IBF Interim world champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis told [YSM Sports Media](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42UQb4tlnzc) that he is not dissuaded by those claiming he is not ready for a shot at undisputed welterweight world champion Crawford.

> “I can’t wait to take that cheese – keep doubting me! When I do take it, keep that same energy and don’t switch sides, stay where y’all at.
>
> “That’s the first option. I want that \[to fight Crawford\] now.”

At 26 years old, many feel ‘Boots’ is heir to Crawford’s welterweight throne, though it would take a brave man to back him against the Omaha man if the fight was to happen next.

Though Ennis has been extremely impressive in his 31 professional fights thus far, a fight against Crawford would represent a huge step up in class and one he would go into a sizeable betting underdog.

However, if Spence is to make good on his [post fight claims](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/boxing/errol-spence-terence-crawford-rematch-b1097566.html) and activate a contractual rematch clause, Ennis will have to wait for his shot at world glory against Crawford.

‘The Truth’ has stated he would prefer a second meeting between the pair take place up at super welterweight, though Crawford holds all the cards in the negotiations next time around will have final say on that.
