Oscar De La Hoya and Dana White don’t miss opportunities to add fuel to the fire of their long running feud.
There’s long been animosity between the boxing promoter and UFC President, with plenty of public spats airing out their problems beginning around the time of the Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor crossover fight.
The latest instalment comes following a leaked video of an altercation between White and his wife, Anne.
The pair were filmed in a nightclub over the festive period arguing. White was slapped by his partner, prompting him to hit her back twice before being separated.
Since publication via TMZ, the MMA boss has said he is embarrassed and regrets his actions.
“People are going to have their opinions on this and people’s opinions would be right, especially in my case. You don’t put your hands on a woman, ever.”
De La Hoya, who won world titles in six weight classes as a fighter before turning his hand to the promotional game, shared the story on Twitter.
He referenced White’s new venture – Power Slap League, self-described as the world’s premier open handed striking organisation.
“My good friend Dana White is so greedy he decided to steal fighter pay from his new league on TBS ‘Power Slap’ by getting fighter of the night against his WIFE. Those Boston aerobic instructors are real tough guys.”

White is yet to respond publicly to De La Hoya. He’s also facing increased scrutiny from many UFC fans, who have been quick to resurface a quote from an old interview.
“There’s one thing that you never bounce back from, and that’s putting your hands on a woman. Been that way in the UFC since we started here. You don’t bounce back from putting your hands on a woman.”
