WBO No.1 super-middleweight contender Zach Parker will meet experienced Uzbek Sherzod Khusanov at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on July 10.
The 41-year-old Khusanov (22-2-1, 10 KOs) previously won World Amateur bronze and silver medals as an amateur though that was in 2001 and 2003 respectively. He is noted for his durability despite his advanced years.
Derby’s Parker (20-0, 14 KOs) is angling for a fight with reigning WBO champion Canelo Alvarez in 2022 though that would have to be mandated by the Puerto Rican sanctioning body.
Meanwhile, Maidstone bantamweight prospect Dennis McCann (9-0, 5 KOs) will face Tanzanian John Chuwa (20-4, 10 KOs) on the same show. The visitor has previously lost to British opposition in Tommy Frank, Ross Murray and Prince Patel.
Headlining the bill is Manchester light-heavyweight contender Lyndon Arthur (18-0, 12 KOs) against Italian champion Davide Faraci (15-0, 7 KOs). In the chief support, former WBO 175lbs title challenger Anthony Yarde clashes with unbeaten German Emin Atra (17-0, 12 KOs).
