Former world champion Shawn Porter says that he wants to face current WBO welterweight ruler Terence Crawford in order to cement his legacy in the sport of boxing.
Crawford was last in the ring back in November, as he comfortably dismantled former Porter world title foe Kell Brook within four rounds in Las Vegas.
Porter, who dominated Germany’s Sebastian Formella back in August, says he has asked his father to pursue an all-American showdown with Crawford in 2021.
“It’s Terence Crawford,” Porter told Sirius XM Boxing of his number one target. “I’ve not given up on that fight. I’ve had conversations with my dad. Go get that fight, that’s the fight for me. So my dad’s working.”
