# Shawn Porter Predicts Terence Crawford-Teofimo Lopez: “It’s A Really Good Fight”

Two-time welterweight champion Shawn Porter has looked ahead to a potential bout between unified welterweight title-holder Terence Crawford and WBO super-lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, as Crawford seeks to move on from the Errol Spence rematch.

Crawford dominated Spence in a generational performance in July, but appeared to be locked in to a second clash after Spence activated his rematch clause, in what would ultimately be a tough sell to boxing fans after the one-sided nature of their first meeting.

However, it seems that their rematch will not take place, and with ‘Bud’ appearing to seek alternate opponents, [Lopez got the wheels in motion for a fight with the arguable pound-for-pound king by initiating a heated exchange](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/teofimo-lopez-takes-aim-at-terence-crawford-you-beat-injured-guys-fight-me/) on social media.

[Speaking to Pro Box TV](https://youtu.be/HvBZbFajRG8?si=qSE_b9B9xaEEYliI), Porter gave his thoughts on how much he would enjoy seeing a fight between the two mn.

> “I am past the beef or whatever, what I am looking at right now is how good of a fight this is. I think that it is a really good fight and whilst Terence Crawford has fought himself into superstardom, he has fought himself out of fights against the likes of \[Jaron\] ‘Boots’ Ennis, just because Ennis doesn’t command that kind of money at this point in time. I feel like Teofimo does.”

While Porter is a fan of the fight, he declared his belief that Lopez is ‘not ready’ for a showdown against a fighter of such skill.

> “I feel like it could be a good fight if this were to be something that really gets going, I think this fight sells and I think that this is a really good stylistic fight.
>
> “I don’t think that Teofimo is ready for Crawford just yet, but this is what boxing needs, it needs guys who have a light over them talking to one another, getting it going, getting people excited and then on top of that, making it happen.”

Before Lopez can truly press the accelerator on a Crawford fight, he [must first defeat Jamaine Ortiz, who he faces on February 8th.](https://talksport.com/sport/1704155/teofimo-lopez-vs-jamaine-ortiz-live-stream-date-time-undercard-channel/)
