The Misfits & DAZN X Series is made for shock value, and the third edition in Austin, Texas threw up a big one on Saturday as Hasim Rahman Jr lost to Greg Hardy.
Hardy is a former American footballer and MMA fighter. He weighed in 94lb heavier than Rahman Jr’s 226lb.
Still, Rahman Jr was a big favourite heading into the contest as Hardy was a late step in for MMA legend Vitor Belfort, as well as having just one professional fight on his record compared to his opponent’s 12-1 record.
The fight was immediately deemed a ‘slugfest’, with both men throwing big looping shots from the first bell. Hardy floored Rahman Jr with a right hand in round two of the four round fight, before Rahman Jr got up and rocked Hardy at the end of the round.

The son of former world heavyweight champion rallied but the four round distance was over in a flash. Hardy would win a unanimous decision with scores of 39-36 from all three judges.
Things have reached a new low for Rahman Jr who has now suffered two defeats in a row – his last being to up and coming pro in Kenzie Morrison. This Hardy’s second professional fight, having lost three UFC fights all by knockout in the last two years before being cut from the roster in 2022.
Rahman was scheduled to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul at Madison Square Garden in August but had to pull out due to struggles with getting down to the weight. It’s unlikely now that that opportunity is still open with the undefeated Paul.
In the main event, Deen the Great secured a comeback win after suffering two knockdowns, stopping former Golden Gloves winner, Walid Sharks, late in their fight.
It was also announced that KSI’s next fight will be against rival Dillon Danis at Wembley Arena on 14th January. Danis is a former sparring partner of Conor McGregor and has had altercations with both KSI and Jake Paul in recent times.
