Dillian Whyte’s next opponent will not be former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr.
David A. Garcia, attorney to Ruiz, was speaking to Sky Sports and quashed any speculation of a fight between the pair after months of feuding.
Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn has said that the WBC Interim champion will next fight in America, but it appears for now that you can strike the name of Andy Ruiz Jr off the list.
“No, we are not holding talks regarding a potential fight with Dillian Whyte,” said Garcia.
“Although I believe that Andy would welcome the opportunity to fight Mr Whyte one day.”
Unbeaten American Jermaine Franklin continues to be the front-runner to be Whyte’s next opponent.
