Ryan Garcia has responded to claims from Gervonta Davis’ team that they are receiving inside information on ‘King Ry’s camp – by saying he simply doesn’t care.
Davis and Garcia will settle a rivalry that has spanned years this Saturday night, with the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas playing host to one of the biggest fights in recent years.
And Davis’ promoter Ellerbe told FightHype that he has been receiving every detail about Garcia’s preparation from a source close to the 24 year old.
“Honestly, I’ve been knowing everything Ryan Garcia has been doing in his entire camp. I know exactly what they’ve been working on. I know who the sparring partners are.”
“Again, this is the art of war, and you’re never going to be able to outthink us, and it’s all hands on deck over here. I can tell you what he’s going to come out and do.”
True or not, comments like Ellerbe’s would usually cause a bit of a headache for a fighter going into by far and away the biggest fight of their career.
However, at the final press conference, Garcia said it would make no difference and made no sense.
“You know what’s funny about this guy? He’s talking about spies, I got this, but every time he talks it’s ‘he aint s**t of a fighter, yet you’re doing everything you can to figure it out. It makes no sense’.”

It is clear that Davis’ fearsome reputation, as well as the reported 10lbs rehydration clause, have done nothing to dent Garcia’s confidence going into the bout.
With a one way contractual rematch clause in place if Garcia is to be victorious, there’s every chance the pair could end up doing it all over again.
