Sam Eggington To Face Zysk For Vacant IBO Super-Welterweight Title

Sam Eggington (31-7, 18 KOs) returns to Sky Sports on June 25 when he challenges for the vacant IBO super-welterweight title at the Coventry SkyDome.

The all-action 28-year-old faces Poland’s undefeated Przemyslaw Zysk (18-0, 6 KOs) as part of the Boxxer promotion.

Today’s announcement also revealed a host of other fighters on the card including the highly touted Adam Azim (4-0, 3 KOs).

Tokyo 2020 Olympic medallist Karriss Artingstall makes her professional debut while Boxxer series tournament winners Cori Gibbs (16-0, 3 KOs) and Dylan Cheema (5-0, 1 KOs) also feature. Gibbs faces Spanish opposition in the shape of Carlos Perez (17-6-2, 2 KOs) however opponents are still to be announced for Cheema, Artingstall and Azim.

River Wilson Bent (12-0-1, 5 KOs) and Tyler Denny (13-2-3 will go at it once again for the English middleweight title. Their November fight ended in controversial fashion due to a clash of heads in the seventh round much to the anger of Denny.

Undefeated middleweight Shakiel Thompson (7-0, 5 KOs), Scottish cruiserweight Scott Forrest (1-0, 1 KO) and Welsh super-bantamweight Rhys Edwards (12-0, 4 KOs) complete the card.
